Stephen served various organizations since then including the International Fund for Animal Welfare, the International Wildlife Coalition, Care for the Wild (UK), and the Toronto Humane Society as an executive and/or director. He has represented these organizations in various international diplomatic and academic forays. He co-founded the International Wildlife Coalition (US), Environment Voters ( Canada), and the Animal Alliance Environment Voters Party of Canada.

He is also a founding director of the Animal Alliance of Canada and a director of Zoocheck-Canada; a life member of the Wilson Ornithological Society, and an honorary life member of the Second Marsh Defense Association, a member of the Toronto Ornithological Club and a member of the Ontario Field Ornithologists.

Jacqui Barnes is a long time resident of Toronto, Ontario. She is AAEVPC’s secretary and has been a member of Animal Alliance of Canada’s board of directors for 19 years.

Jacqui’s area of expertise is cosmetic and product testing and the use of animals in research. Through her dedicated efforts, she persisted in raising concerns about the treatment of animals in xenotransplantation and in product testing. Jacqui worked tirelessly to uncover pounds and shelters that sold lost pets to laboratories.
